Spring Break at the Beach: Why SeaQueen is Perfect for Families

The Queen Flamingo
March 10, 2024

Spring break is coming up, and I'm getting a lot of questions about bringing families to SeaQueen. The answer is a resounding YES! Here's why the coast beats the theme parks:

Space to Breathe

SeaQueen sleeps 6 comfortably (3 bedrooms), but the real luxury is the space. 1,500 square feet means kids can spread out, parents can relax, and nobody's on top of each other. Plus, the fenced yard means kids (and dogs!) can play safely.

Beach Adventures

28 miles of beach means you can walk for hours and never see a crowd. Spring is perfect for:

  • Kite flying (seriously, the wind is ideal)
  • Beach combing (agates, driftwood, shells)
  • Building epic sandcastles
  • Flying disk on the hard-packed sand

Rainy Day Backup Plans

Let's be real – it might rain. But that's okay! We've got:

  • Smart TVs with streaming services
  • Board game collection
  • Fully equipped kitchen (perfect for baking cookies)
  • That hot tub (rain in a hot tub is actually amazing)

Family-Friendly Restaurants

Walking distance to:

  • Scoopers – Ice cream and casual food
  • Lost Roo – Family-friendly atmosphere, good portions
  • Castaway's – Seafood that even picky kids enjoy

The Real Win: Unplugging Together

No lines. No schedules. No theme park exhaustion. Just family time, beach time, and the simple pleasure of being together without the usual distractions.

We have a few spring break openings left – grab them while you can!
