Your Dog's Dream Beach Vacation at SeaQueen

SeaQueen is a dog's paradise! We welcome up to 3 dogs (yes, THREE!), and Long Beach is one of the most dog-friendly beach destinations in the Pacific Northwest.

Why Dogs Love SeaQueen

Fenced yard - Safe off-leash play area ✅ Walking distance to beach - 5-minute walk to dog-friendly sand ✅ Hardwood floors - Easy cleanup for sandy paws ✅ Covered deck - Protected outdoor space in any weather ✅ Pet-friendly furniture - We get it, dogs are family

Long Beach Dog Beach Rules

Dogs Allowed:

  • On the beach from October 1 - March 31 (winter months)
  • Under voice control or on leash
  • Must be licensed and vaccinated

Seasonal Restrictions:

  • April 1 - September 30: Dogs restricted to specific areas (check with local authorities)

Always Required:

  • Pick up after your dog (bring bags!)
  • Keep dogs under control
  • Watch for wildlife (especially shorebirds)

Best Dog Activities

1. Beach Runs

The 28-mile-long beach is perfect for dogs to run, chase waves, and dig in the sand. Early morning and sunset are the best times (fewer people, cooler temps).

2. Discovery Trail Walks

The 8.5-mile paved Discovery Trail welcomes leashed dogs. Great for gentle walks with scenic views.

3. Cape Disappointment State Park

Dogs are welcome on leashes! Explore hiking trails together (avoid the lighthouse tour, dogs not allowed inside).

4. Downtown Long Beach

Most shops and restaurants have water bowls outside. Dogs are welcome to walk around downtown.

5. Dog-Friendly Dining

Outdoor seating welcomes dogs:

  • Lost Roo: Australian cafe with patio
  • Cottage Bakery: Grab pastries and eat at picnic tables
  • Pickled Fish: Casual seafood with outdoor seating
  • Scoopers: Ice cream shop with benches outside (pup cups available!)

Wildlife to Avoid:

  • Sea lions (can be aggressive if approached)

Weather Considerations

Winter (Oct-Mar):
